The Fearrington InnSider - ✨ A Walk Through the Gardens in Autumn

There’s something especially magical about Fearrington in the fall — when the air turns crisp, the light softens, and the Village begins to glow at twilight. A walk through the gardens this time of year feels like stepping into a fairytale, with the twinkling grapevine balls lighting the pathways and trees.

These illuminated orbs have been part of Fearrington’s charm for more than 25 years, becoming one of our most beloved seasonal traditions. Though our original supplier sadly closed in 2020, we’re delighted to have found a wonderful new U.S.-based maker who handcrafts them with the same care and artistry.

We recently refreshed the Barn hallway, hanging 40 grapevine balls in varying sizes to create a breathtaking canopy of light. The effect is simply magical — a glowing tunnel that captures the warmth, romance, and whimsy of Fearrington.

Now available in two sizes at Nest, these lights are the perfect way to bring a little of Fearrington’s evening sparkle into your own home or garden.
