THE FEARRINGTON HOUSE RESTAURANT
Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Elevated
At The Fearrington House Restaurant, our Buttermilk Fried Chicken is anything but ordinary. Crispy, golden perfection gives way to tender, juicy meat—comfort food with a refined twist. Served alongside velvety butter mashed potatoes and savory savoy cabbage, this dish is finished with a touch of luxury: a delicate drizzle of truffle. It’s a sophisticated nod to Southern tradition, reimagined by Chef Paul Gagne for our Bar Menu. A true guest favorite—and one of ours, too.

Colliano Skin Maceration 2022

From the sun-soaked hills of Goriška Brda, Slovenia, this skin-contact white (also known as “orange wine”) is a vibrant expression of native varietals and traditional winemaking. Light copper with golden amber hues, it opens with inviting aromas of quince, ripe peach, and apricot, layered with subtle notes of thyme. The palate is mineral-driven and citrusy, with a delicate herbal thread and soft, sweet tannins that lead to a long, elegant finish with hints of roasted almonds.

Perfectly versatile, it pairs beautifully with everything from fresh salads and seafood to chicken, lamb, or spicy Asian cuisine—especially sushi.

Special note from Troy Revell:This is a wine for curious drinkers. Its texture and flavor make it incredibly food-friendly—especially on warm summer nights. It’s a standout for the price.”
