BEHIND THE BAR AT FEARRINGTON HOUSE
Meet Raquel Village

Please join us in welcoming Raquel Village as the new bartender at The Fearrington Bar! Raquel has been a valued part of the Fearrington team since 2021, most recently as a server in the restaurant, where she developed a deep understanding of our guests and our signature service style.

She’s no stranger to the bar either—having moonlighted behind it many times over the years, Raquel brings a sharp palate, a creative spirit, and an infectious enthusiasm to her new role. She’s currently crafting a brand-new cocktail list, and we can’t wait for you to try what she’s mixing up. Stop by, say hello, and let Raquel pour you something special.

LIOCO ‘Sativa’ Carignan 2021 – $35

From Mendocino’s historic McCutchen Ranch, this limited-production wine comes from 70-year-old, dry-farmed Carignan vines. Expect aromas of dried fig, violet, and black cherry, with flavors of Italian plum, blackberry, and hints of smoked meat and cola. Medium-bodied and layered, it balances dark fruit with savory complexity. With just 240 cases produced, it’s a rare and distinctive find.

Troy Revell, Wine Director, says:
“The Sativa Carignan is one of those wines that stops you in your tracks—it’s soulful, rustic, and deeply expressive of Mendocino’s old vines. I love how it balances dark fruit with earth and spice, making it a perfect red for cooler nights or alongside hearty dishes. It’s California Carignan at its finest.”
