A restrained white wine with a dense palate of beautiful, ripe lemons and golden apples. Layered and refined with hints of nuttiness, this Jura inspired Chardonnay is racy and lean.
El Enemigo is a joint venture between Adrianna Catena (daughter of the renowned Catena family) and winemaker Alejandro Vigil. Alejandro is known as a master of Chardonnay as well as a man who likes to push boundaries here in Argentina, which is why this impressive white was made in contact with a little flor, just like a Fino Sherry.
After 9 months in 35% new French oak barrels the resulting wine is intentionally toasty, spiced and briny with a refreshing aftertaste of honeyed cashews and ripe citrus. Full-bodied yet tense with acidity and a lengthy finish.
