JOSEPH DROUHIN SANTENAY 2018

A beautifully balanced Pinot Noir. Ripe, wild brambleberry notes lead this wine with a lovely candied pomegranate finish. Initially presenting noticeable tannin, this vintage is now entering it's perfect drinking window with the tannins softening nicely. This wine sees 12-16 months of oak aging, with 20% new oak.

Maison Drouhin is one of the largest estates in Burgundy, dating back to 1880. Over five generations they have acquired parcels throughout Burgundy. They make wine at all levels so you can add elegance to a daily week night dinner as well as celebrating any special occasision. When Phillipe (the current eldest son of the family) took over in 1988 he shifted the family's focus to organic and biodynamic viticulture, to help in the preservation of Burgundy's grape varieties.
