Mayacamas is nothing less than a pillar of California winemaking. With a 125 year history, they age their iconic Cabernet Sauvignon in a variety of barrels some of which date back nearly to the beginning of this historic estate.
"The 2020 is dense, dark , and brooding. An inviting richness comprised of black fruits: mountain berry, plum, and cherry. The intensity of the fruit profile is threaded by clove, leather, and dried herbs. This bottle is cellar-worthy in every sense. While this exquisite wine can of course be enjoyed at any point, the defining elegance of Mayacamas' Mt. Veeder vineyards will slowly reveal itself with more time in the bottle. We might be biased, but this is most diefinitely a good investment!
