Based in the heart of Somerset, artist and designer Eloise Hall creates stationery inspired by the beauty and power of nature.
‘I believe nature is amazing and that getting outside even for a tiny bit makes a real difference. My studio looks out onto the fields and I love to watch the seasons as they change.
Each piece of stationery I create starts with a handcrafted collage using shapes from origami paper along with ink drawings. These designs are used to create luxury stationery made with the finest paper stock, a real treat to use.
I have three children and often with the lure of pocket money they help out. My husband makes gin.....be ready for cocktails if you visit! There’s plenty here, hopefully we’ll be set free next year!
After spending most of my life avoiding exercise I now love it! In a midlife clique, I’ve also got into cycling, it’s awesome and wow there’s some big hills around here.
My dog Bramble who is a spaniel cross Labrador (but looks mostly like a spaniel!) likes to hang out in my studio.
My favourite animal is a giraffe. I worked in Zimbabwe after school, lived in a mud hut, and have loved them ever since. They feature heavily in the Africa collection.
Other random facts include a love for Dhalias (I’ve grown them for the first time ever this year), in a previous career I was a milliner and made a hat for Judith Chalmers and finally I cannot resist children’s sweets, particularly Haribos!
