This Panelled Skirt is made from pure linen and is lined in pure cotton. The outer garment is cut from eight separate pieces, assembled to create a flattering, fluted shape, gently flaring from the hips. The cut features a high waist and an ankle length hemline. This skirt has subtle pockets in the side seams, a delicate picot lace trim at the waist, and an invisible zip at the centre back.

This design is based around ancient Greek art, pottery, poetry and literature. The print features a series of amphoras or vessels, moulded in animal form and delicately painted with creatures to match their form. The hem displays a set of painted vases containing beautiful but deadly aconite. Each vase details the story of Pegasus: springing from the neck of the beheaded Medusa, his taming at the hands of Bellephoron with Athena’s golden bridle, victory over the heinous Chimera and the eventual fall of Bellephoron.
