A Tribute to Grace Wine Dinner

We are proud to welcome winemaker Angela Osborne to Fearrington Village. Wine Director Troy Revell has been inviting Angela to North Carolina for years and she is finally making it here! Her wines occupy a unique space in the evolution of the California scene, focusing solely on Grenache and showcasing it with a balanced elegance that is unmatched in the domestic market. All of her selections are beautiful and work wonderfully as versatile food pairings. There is even a white and rosé to share, so stylistically something for everyone!

Chef Paul Gagne’s memorable 4-course dinner menu will pair with 7 stellar wines. We hope you can join us on Thursday, April 24th at 6:30pm!

A TRIBUTE TO GRACE
A Tribute to Grace Wine Company is dedicated to crafting authentic expressions of Grenache from the Santa Barbara region of California. All wines are single-vineyard sourced to maintain authenticity, and remain 100% Grenache, including a white and rosé. The label, A Tribute To Grace, was aptly named after two cherished elements: Angela’s beloved Grandmother Grace and Angela’s favorite personal attribute. The intention behind the winemaking is to capture the essence of grace itself and remain as closely connected to nature as possible, reflecting the trio of grace in every bottle.

The inspiration for the label design came during a poignant moment on Moonlight Beach, Encinitas, during Angela’s first Thanksgiving in California. While reminiscing about her Nana Grace and the beauty of this American tradition, she etched the word ‘grace’ in the sand with her big toe. Recognizing the significance of this act, she decided to make it her label, paying homage to grace itself. Thanks to the artistic touch of a dear and talented friend, Nicole Sykes, the label took on a more refined form. The Queen Anne’s Lace motif, inspired by a dried flower found in a Dublin vintage market, symbolizes of simplicity, femininity, and the enduring circle of grace.

ANGELA OSBORNE
"I am a New Zealand born winemaker who moved to California in 2006 with the dream of making Grenache. In the land from which I stem, the climate is too cool to ripen this sun-loving beauty. And so began my search: northern Spain, southern France, southern Australia, California…

Abundant sunshine and entrepreneurial spirit led me to the latter, and in 2007 I sourced my first Grenache fruit from the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard. Nestled high above the Pacific Ocean and 33 miles inland, this high-desert vineyard provided the perfect balance of heat and light I sought.

I chose to name my label after two of my favourite things: my Grandmother Grace, and my most beloved attribute. My winemaking intention is to capture this spirit, and stay as close to nature as humanly possible. The trio is completed by the grape itself, which to me encapsulates grace."
